14 февраля - день святого Валентина, этот день с давних времен является романтическим праздником, отмечаемым влюблёнными парами по всему миру.
Именем этого праздника, стало имя простого христианского священника Валентина. Он, нарушив закон о запрете браков императора Рима Клавдия 2, тайно благославлял бракосочетание, за что и был подвергнут казни.
На всей территории России и СНГ праздник отмечают с 1990-го года и в настоящее время он стал любимым и популярным праздником, хотя и с небольшой историей празднования. В этот день любимым дарятся подарки: конфеты, шоколад, так называемые «валентинки» - самые разные открытки в форме сердечек, ну и конечно традиционные цветы. Подарком могут стать различные игрушки, в форме сердечек.
