Although, love is the foundation and basis of any happy romantic relationship. Love is not enough criteria for a successful and happy relationship. In order to have a healthy relationship both parties have to be willing to work on it.

Here are some tips for a healthy relationship

  1. Practice acceptance and appreciation. You have to learn to accept each other the way you are with your flaws and imperfections and also appreciate each other in every possible way.

  2. Recognize that relationships have their ups and downs. It can't always be rosey there would be arguments, quarrels but you have to be willing to ride together through good and bad times.

  3. Dont be selfish always use the word 'we'. It shows you both are in harmony. Seek each others opinions on issues too.

  4. Be playful. We all love to play regardless of our age, have fun together and do something ridiculous together. It keeps the relationship alive.

  5. Be supportive. Give emotional support, listen to each other when upset and need someone to talk to. You should also give information that you both may need. Give a hand when needed for example house chores.

In conclusion strong relationships don't just happen both partners have to put in effort into making it work.
