Poem To A Loving Family

in love •  7 years ago

To a loving family:

I never truly pondered
The warmth of your heart
Such a shame in this distance
We live so far apart
For I am so grateful
To have you in my life
In times we are laughing
And others of strife
Without you I'd wither
A less than full soul
But with you I blossom
A being more whole
This man is so gracious
Maybe you'll never know
That your giving love
Allows me to grow

Original poem by Chris Peters

I wrote this last night in gratitude for some family members who came through for me in a remarkable way.
