This post is made in response to Steemit In Nigeria (SIN2) objectives to help communities attend the conference in Abuja which has been slated to hold between 30th October to 4th November, 2018.

I often wonder why it is so complicated to love. Why do we have lots of people with low self esteem? Many people fail to accept themselves as they are. They always find it difficult to forgive themselves when any wrong happens.

In life, we really need to discover who we really are. We need to look inwards and search the real man in our being. Check for your likes and dislikes, your dos and don'ts, your spiritual, physical, academical, financial, moral life and all and purposely decide to love up with all flaws. It actually takes strength to learn to be honest with ourselves in those moments of emotional weakness.
This might look easier said than done, but no matter what stage of life one is, its a fact that most people struggles with the idea of loving.

You may say something like, “It doesn’t help to beat yourself up,” or, “Everybody makes mistakes sometimes.” You may want to acknowledge yourself for trying, even if you weren’t successful. You may tell yourself to focus on the positive aspects of what you did as well as the negative ones, or that behavior change is a process, and you need to keep trying.

If we don't deliberately love ourselves, we shouldn't expect love from anyone else. Charity, they say, begins at home. Meaning, you have to love yourself first and then you can know how it feels when someone else shows you love. If not, you'll only keep struggling and accepting whatever life brings your way. Just imagine how you treat yourself on a daily basis as if you were another person, in a relationship with you. Would you wanna date yourself? Would you love yourself enough to that extent? If no, then you've just got started.

Be present with Self love
Feel Self love

Lastly, love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Life will be very boring without love. Let love reign!
