Let's Get To Know & Appreciate One Another Better

Dear Steemians,

Wha'ts LoveIt/ShoveIt?

My Steemian friend @pundito tagged me to join an interesting challenge, which gets to know one another better.

Credit goes to @snowpea who started the scrimmage - and I am enjoying it...
I think it is a fabulous idea.

I realized that even though most of @pundito's statements are reflective of a philosophy I would disagree with, I have nothing against @pundito - just the opposite. Love ya, and we get along fine despite our different beliefs. And this is what it is all about, is it not?

Divisiveness Becomes Tolerance

In a divisive world, setting aside out differences and focusing on constructive solutions rather than destructive arguments can reduce fighting, even in-fighting, it can lower the potential for violence and increase the respect we ought to have for one another. We may hate things people do, but we ought not to hate the person itself. It's a difficult task - and it represents a big challenge in my life.

My Nominees

Here are my #loveitshoveit items, five each. What are yours?

I nominate @r0nd0n, @thebugiq, @breeze, @hope777 and @disarrangedJane to join in and put up your own #loveitshoveit list...

The Rulz...

...short version, as taken from @pundito's post

  • List five things you love
  • List five things you dislike
  • Use the tag loveitshoveit
  • Tag five people to take part, but anyone can join in

My Loveits

  • First and foremost, I love God!
    Matthew 22:37–38 (KJV 1900)
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.

  • A Point of view, a standpoint may be defended by applying critical and independent thought.

  • Borders - to protect individuals living within those borders from invasion of hostile actors, incompatible values, crime. What would a house be without the walls protecting your life, possessions, privacy? The same goes for a society.

  • A smile can make a person's day. Giving and receiving. It is one of those miraculous things that transmit energy, giving to both, the sender and receiver alike.

  • Music - there are three universal, Godly languages out there that are understood regardless of your beliefs, culture, background: A smile, music, and math. Music is based on math. Math is based on logic. A smile is based on light frequencies. Music is based on acoustic frequencies. All is energy.

My Shoveits

  • Religion: God Waves, airing every Sunday on mspwaves.com is not a religious show. As Jesus does, I, too, hate religion. Religion is man's way of trying to hide from God. Heaven/Salvation is not earned, it is given by God. So much horror, violence, wrongdoing was/is caused in the name of some religion. There is a direct line to God - a red phone, no religion needed. His name is Jesus. So simple.

  • Opinions, often parroted without critical thought, just to fit in. Making decisions based on fickle emotions leads to the downfall of societies/even civilizations. Look at Europe, it's mad. It is doom.

  • Crowds of any size make me uncomfortable, being stuck in the middle of a mob has never been a thing for me. I have no problem speaking to large crowds, but being in them, takes away my personal space to a degree that reminds me of Aspergers or slight autism.

  • Pretenders: I can see through them and read them like an open book. I tend to let them know, or walk away as not to be exposed to their poison. No worries - I see you!

  • Egoism/selfishness. It is true, we have to take care of ourselves in order to be of value to others, lest we become burdensome. However, in everything we do, we ought to aim to create value for ourselves and others and not do harm. The principle is simple - so very simple. If there was only one law on the books in human courts, this would be sufficient to cover all aspects of life.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (Gal 5 NASB)

Great lists @globocop! You put a lot of thought into your choices! I love what you said about setting aside our differences. I'm hoping in a way this challenge helps people understand each other more, as well as bring people together. 😊

We have a lot in common! Thanks for participating in the challenge! 😃

We discover that most people have more in common than we may initially think. At the end of the day, we still cook with fire *(I strongly discourage the use of microwave ovens 😃) .

Great idea on your part. It will have a, well, snowball effect...

A great list I think with most of them we are very much alike

Nice, @tatoodjay! Most of us want the same. Some are more social than others. At the end of the day, we all want peace and prosperity - just that we really want it for all - not just for self. :)

I do agree
Haven’t travelled extensively and seen many war torn countries
I to Wish and work towards peace everyday

Hello there @globocop, I know you are far away now, but please dont be a stranger now eh ??? lol ! I hope your life is as you want and need now you are there )) Big Ups to you and the lady ))

Oh @gomeravibz, yes, made it 3rd week here - time seems to fly - loving it. As soon as my office is in bueno estado, I shall be more active again on Steemit and, of course, MSP... Some other projects are on the go as well. All v exciting. Love ya!

This is a very nice way to get to know someone just a bit better! I loved reading your answers and I am looking forward to reading more of these posts in the feed the coming days!

Great that you participated @globocop ! After listening to the interview about your life, which was really interesting, i get more informations about you 😃. That you pay attention to separating what a person sometimes does or says and who he is otherwise is a good thing that more people should work on. Have a good start in your new home!

Thansk @psionic-tremors... Thanks for listening to @pennsif's show - it was interesting to go back in time - albeit it was only an abridged version. Great potential for a Dlive/vlog to lay out the journey....

Appreciate your listenership! 😃.

Nice one @globocop!
And I found a 100% match we have:

Music - there are three universal, Godly languages out there that are understood regardless of your beliefs, culture, background: A smile, music, and math. Music is based on math. Math is based on logic. A smile is based on light frequencies. Music is based on acoustic frequencies. All is energy.

Wise saying :)

Steem on!

We all have more in common than we may think - yep - gotta love that smile, that music, those frequencies - and LOGIC... 😃.
