Michael J King: Musical Instrument maker, an Introduction.

This blog will mostly be about Musical Instruments I make and build to order with occasional articles on diet, gardening, exercise, and Philosophy.
I had studied Fine Art at University before doing a 2-year furniture course, not finding the job and life i wanted I went self-employed, I have been making Musical Instruments full time since 2002,

In 2003 I had a short slot on HTV

I began by selling on eBay at first then gradually selling through exposure via my website and Youtube videos. Finnish Style Kanteles and Stick Dulcimers then Ukuleles, langpsils, Icelandic Fidlas, Anglo Saxon Lyres, French Epinettes, Bowed lyres, Dulcimers, and many others.

Electric Ukuleles: These were instruments I had designed as a teenager in the mid 1980s

My Main work of the last 10 years has been focusing on Lyres, mostly Anglo Saxon but also Viking period

This is my first Steemit Blog post and i will be revisiting and adding updates and thoughts on my work over this time,

I plan to go through the Stick Dulcimer Making course from scratch, through the DVD-ROM chapter by chapter with Youtube videos with notes and current practices for builders. I will also be uploading tutorials old and new on D-Tube

With my Kantele making articles I will share my old videos about playing and making this instrument and post a blog series from pages from by Kantele making Ebook

With the Lyre making blog I will go through the build of one of my Lyre kits and the set up with current notes.
