The following ingredients were used to create this simple composition: a simple apple, still edible (yellow one will serve you better, as a contrast background); an ordinary fly (any will do, all of them love sweetie stuff); a Canon 350d camera + Tamron 60-mm macro lens. No additional lighting except daylight.

This fly wasnt in a hurry, more than a minite she posed me motionless, I've did a dozen shots, most of them I am quite happy. After it got enough sugar, the fly did cleaning maintenance and disappeared.

wow, I never knew arout dCT (and your rules is a nice thing, as I read it). I am into macro less a year, so, I hope be bringing sufficiently more stuff this year. next time! and thanx for curation. @joelsegovia

dCT is a project a fairly old project, but the bear market left us with just a few members. The few of us that remain have been trying our best to keep it going, I enjoy curating, thus as far as the door is still open I will keep going with dCT curation efforts.

Best regards.

Wow that fruit fly is in heaven. Canon's are the best, i always wanted a mk3 but various guitars got in the way of me making that purchase.

mk3, ha.... I would be in heaven myself, if I d get my hands on it. body doesnt require so much investments, like a lens collection... I've managed to get 1st version only, last summer it costed me less than 300$. @sketch.and.jam

Yeah i want the mk3 for birding but the right lenses are super expensive. Sony has really fancy non dslr cameras now so i might wait on one of those...
