The ants in my neighborhood store away seeds for the winter. But, for some reason some of the seeds end up just outside their hole. I don't know if they get dropped on the way in or if the ants take them out of their nest when they are preparing for spring. So, along with the dirt they have dug out there are a number of grass seedlings growing.
