Don't ask me what is the insect in the picture. I myself don't know what is it. I've shown this picture to few of my friend. All of them are unable to give me an answer. Some of them guess it is a species of honey bee.

However, my wife's uncle told me it is a fruit fly. A common pest that can be seen nearby fruits. Unlike their cousin - housefly, fruit fly lay eggs inside a fruit. Hence the name; fruit fly. But again, I never saw a fruit fly before

It was during weekends & I were at my wife hometown. As I was relaxing, sipping my cup of hot tea, that's when I saw this tiny insect walking slowly while carrying some kind of liquid, might be honey. Or droplet of water.

Yes, it was walking on it's four legs. While the other two legs was like balancing its body. It tried to take off few times and failed. I think it might be because of heavy load. So it ended up walking until it disappear from sight

In a glance, it look like a housefly. But never in my life, I saw a housefly behave like this. Due to my curiosity, I took this picture.

I perform a Google search and put 'fruit fly' as keyword. Apparently, my wife's uncle were right. It is a fruit fly.
