This one's a pretty strong and controversial post about this Indian mythological story about first counsins fighting it out in a battle for the throne. It's one of the longest stories and events that marked the onset of kalyug. Kalyug is basically the beginning of a bad era where there is no one good person or one bad person but every single human born after has been said to have both good and bad inside of them and it's up to their control to find out which side of them they release to the world and situations that define who they truly are.
There are several incidents in this story that are a cause of controversy and those of you who know it or partially have had an argument with your friend/ colleague/ relative at some point in time. It's almost like democrats vs republicans or broncos vs patriots or DMK vs AIDM or Putin vs rest of the world.
I am telling one incident from that mythology and would like to know which one of you agree or disagree and what your opinion about the same are :
Pandavas are 5 brothers born to the younger prince of this kingdom. (oddly though this young prince is cursed that he can never touch his wife and he touches his second wife who comes after a nice shower and he dies. The 5 sons are born when the author of this story about this kingdom is forced by his mother who is the queen of the same kingdom to fornicate the two wives to have some prince to rule in the future).
Back to the story.....100 sons are born to the first prince who is blind in this story but takes over the throne against the wishes of the people/ his mother and his younger brother. These sons are called Kauravas. The leader of Pandavas who is the eldest brother and oldest of the Kauravas who is the eldest of the Kauravas fight it out to earn the title of King.
Tired of these fights the Pandavas who eventually win the throne decide that all 5 brothers would marry the same woman so that their sons wouldn't need to fight out in a battle to earn the throne. To avoid any kind of conflicts between the brothers they decide to marry the same woman.
As you can imagine she is not considered a great lady due to being married to 5 men and this is millions of years ago that this story happened. What do you think about this woman and is it worth the sacrifice to go against the rules of those days and marry more than one man or is it even a sacrifice considering the men took a decision to save their own kingdom from any future battles?
