MakeMeSmile Wk 7 - My Best Birthday Present

It is our first year together and my boyfriend gave me the best birthday present. He "belanja" (treated) me to an overnight stay at Bao Sheng Durian Farm.

What makes me really, really happy is that it has been a very, very long time since someone celebrated my birthday on the day itself with me.

My 2018 birthday became my most special birthday and I know, the next coming years will be as special, because I know I'll be celebrating with my boyfriend for many coming years. Just the fact that he is with me for my birthdays made me happy. And I will be with him on his birthdays too, fyi.

Because of this trip, I have learned a lot about durian, which is my boyfriend's favourite food. I didn't really like durian previously so I didn't understand why he likes durian so much. But after tasting truly fresh durians, I think I understood him a little more.

When I found out I understood him a little more, instinctively I knew we've made some progress in our relationship. And good progression means deeper, stronger relationship. That's what we're looking to achieve every day.

We put conscious effort into our relationship.

I am the luckiest person in the Universe to know such an amazing friend, boyfriend, growth mate, soulmate and mentor :D
