This morning my wife asked me if I could prepare sushi for dinner. I wanted to prepare a colourful variety so I went shopping for fresh and smoked salmon, tuna, trout eggs, avocado, ginger in vinegar and wakame algues. Since our trip to Japan, preparing Japanese food has become one of our favourite hobbies. It is easy to prepare, delicious and healthly. I started by seasoning wakame algues with oil and sesame seeds and then wrapped the salmon in sheets of nori algues. I then cut sashimis with my very sharp Japanese knife. After boiling the rice for 10 minutes I mixed it with some rice vinegar, salt and sugar and used half of the rice for making sushis and the other half for makis. We spent a lovely evening enjoying the delicious food, accompanied by some very good sake.
