You're right about my having watched TS's video. I gave him a good comment on it too. I had thought about the fact that the changes are always a degrading or corruption of the original, before I saw his video, but I think he got me using the word inferior. Anyway, who/whatever is making these changes doesn't have the creative talent or imagination to improve on the old reality. Another great example is of course Field of Dreams "If you build it he will come". Give me a break! "If you build it they will come " was the line and it tied the whole plot together. (Of course there is residue to support the original version of these things too which is extremely important in proving this phenomenon is real.)
