Muitas pessoas sequer sabem, mas podem viver tranquilamente sem sistemas operacionais fechados, como o Windows ou o MacOS. Esses sistemas estão constantemente aumentando seus requisitos e, de certa forma, acabam por promover a troca de equipamentos porque tudo está ficando muito lento, travando. Curiosamente, a maior parte das pessoas acaba subutilizando os recursos de suas máquinas, cujos recursos são consumidos apenas para manter o SO rodando.
Pretendo postar aqui o dia-a-dia de como é a vida de um usuário comum do sistema GNU Linux (Linux) e como utilizar softwares livres, alternativos aos proprietários mais comuns no sistema Windows. No decorrer das postagens falarei um pouco sobre LibreOffice, Inkscape, Gimp, Evolution e do próprio sistema Linux em si, apontando dificuldades e vantagens de sua utilização.
Comecei a utilizar o Ubuntu em sua versão 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot) e me mantive até a versão 16.04. Com a retirada do ambiente Unity na versão 18.04 acabei migrando para o Manjaro Gnome, o qual utilizo atualmente. Se você não faz ideia do que estou falando, não se preocupe, mais alguns posts e você irá entender.

I want to post here my daily life of a common user of the GNU Linux system and how to use free software, alternative to the most common proprietary software in the Windows eco-system. Throughout the posts I will talk about LibreOffice, Inkscape, Gimp, Evolution and the Linux system itself, pointing out the difficulties and advantages of using it.
