Maplestory Reboot: Cubing AbsoLab Shoulder

You may or may not know, we reside on the Maplestory Reboot server. This is somewhat different from normal servers for several reasons. One, being that it is the most active world in Maplestory BY FAR. Most of the normal servers have either died out or drastically slowed within the past 5 years due to markets plummeting, causing gameplay to be at an all time low. Another, being that you can purchase miracle cubes right out of the Henesys store for mesos (figure 2)!

This is not the only place where you can purchase exclusive cubes with mesos.

This is amazing because it allows Maplestory players to be able to use in-game currency to buff their character and make it to end game. This is extremely beneficial to newer players, or players who just don't have the money to pay for normal-server cubes out of the cash shop (figure 1).

So let's get into it - how do I cube my absolab gear?

To start out, you want to make sure you have a prominent amount of mesos before you embark on this cubing journey. The cubing system is based completely off of RNG(random numbers generator), meaning that every time you use a cube, the chance of getting a specific stat is completely Random.

This means that having more cubes in your inventory gives you have a higher chance of achieving the specific stats you want. Depending on what you are cubing for and how godly you want your stats to be, cubing a piece of perfect equipment can take anywhere from 50 million mesos to 10 billion mesos and beyond. On a single item!

Now that you have your meso situation handled, you want to make sure you are buying the correct cubes, the correct amount of cubes, and using such cubes properly. Each different miracle cube has it's own specific function when cubing a piece of equipment.

Here are the cubes I buy to cube my equipment with, the general ratios I buy them in, and exactly how I use them:

Master Craftsman's Cube (7 Million Mesos/cube) - Only usable on items with reveled hidden potential Rare, Epic, or Unique.*Used to tier up item from Rare to Epic to Unique. I believe this is the best way.                                             MAX RESULT: Unique  

Red Cube (12 Million Mesos/cube) - Usable on all items with revealed hidden potential.*Primarily used after item is already legendary tier, to find specific stats you want. I rarely use Red Cubes to tier up items.                                       MAX RESULT: Legendary 

Black Cube (22 Million Mesos/cube) - Usable on all items with revealed hidden potential. Once activated, user can chose between the initial enhancement before the item was cubed, or the enhancement after the cube is used.*Primarily used to tier up item from Unique to Legendary. I rarely use these to find the stats I want, unless I have mesos to spare. MAX RESULT: Legendary 

I always buy double the amount of Master Craftsman's Cube as I have Red cubes, and I always buy half the amount of black cubes as I have red cubes. 

Note: Occult cubes tier up equipment from Rare to Epic, but I chose to leave them out of this guide.                             MAX RESULT: Epic

Now let's get to actually cubing the equipment. You want to start out with revealing your potential on the item. If the item comes out to be 3L(three lines of stats), begin the cubing process with your Master Craftsman's Cube until the item hits Unique tier. Once the item hits Unique Tier, this is when you switch to your Black Cubes. Once you reach Legendary tier(MAKE SURE YOU CLICK THE BOTTOM BOX), you can now swap to your red cubes. Continue using Red Cubes until the item you have holds the desired stats you want.
