Today Senator Corey Booker from New Jersey introduced the Marijuana Justice Act of 2017, which would make marijuana legal across the country on a federal level!
The bill would.. remove marijuana from the US Controlled Substances Act, thereby ending the federal criminalization of cannabis.

This could be the one thing that turns everything around, and I'm excited to see where we go from here!

My hope is strong, but the establishment is stronger. If anything this might get a couple conversations going amongst the various bureaucrats, but I don't expect it to survive the test of the lock step fools in a vote. Most of our elected officials are bought and owned so they don't acquiesce to us, their constituents, but instead allow greed to guide them and their votes. BUT there is always the chance that things go awry and the stars align to make this happen.

Corey Booker, I wouldn't have expected him to introduce a bill like that. He seems somewhat an establishment guy... maybe not a bad idea though since he is likely gearing up for a presidential run. Few things are as popular as legal weed.

Good news... will be calling my Senator to follow this bill and vote for it since in my opinion is the only way ti has a "whiff" of a chance.
