Off To The Beach
@Bigpchef here on a Top Shelf Tuesday at CHAI Collective, and it's time to bring my fellow Steemians along with me on a nug run. CHAI collective is located in Santa Cruz, CA which is about 40 miles south of San Jose.
The Santa Cruz Boardwalk, while fun, is usually littered with tourist. Most locals hang out at the cities various shops, or secluded beaches.
Santa Cruz is a hispster's paradise. An Austin with an ocean if you will. You will find locals out and about most days of the week. The weather is pleasing year around, averaging about 69 deg F. The city streets are lined with craft breweries, dog bars, surf shops, and dispensaries.
For instance, this is the first thing you see off of the first exit for Santa Cruz. Ha, I love this town.
In order to get to the coast you need to drive down Route 17 which winds through the mountains of Santa Cruz. It's a partially windy road that takes about 35 mins to navigate from downtown San Jose. It's an absolute tranquil drive, filled with beauty, and luscious greenery. (Thanks mainly in part to the copious amounts of rain CA received over the last nine months.) The drive is lined with giant redwoods. Santa Cruz, CA is certainly a place I could see myself living one day. A house on the beach, couple million Coronas, and a plant, or two. What more could one want?!
Goodies From The Dispensary
Of course, this mini road trip was not just for the drive down route 17. It was time to re-up and take advantage of Top Shelf Tuesday. CHAI collective has indoor strains for $300 a zip. On Tuesdays there are $240. Weeeeeee! Figured while I was there, why not pick up some wax as well?

Shark Shock: Sativa Dominant Hybrid - Mr. Nice x Skunk 1
Gorilla Glue: Sativa Dominant Hybrid - Chocolate Diesel x Sour Diesel
Skittlez: Indica Dominant Hybrid - Grape Ape x Grapefruit x Undisclosed mystery strain (I highly suspect Chocolate Thai). The strain taste amazingly like lime flavored Skittles candies.
Concentrate: Super Sour Diesel, Jack The Ripper, Sour Melon
Concentrate: Banana Kush, Sour Diesel, Bubble Berry
Time To Elevate
