In this report, I cover the early market action from London on Wednesday, December 20th, 2018. I look briefly at the precious metals, the stock market, the dollar, the bond market and the price of oil.
Today I talk about Central Banking and specifically the Federal Reserve Bank or System and how these institutions are not looking after the interest of the general public. I show how from 1776 to 1913 when the Fed was created by an act of Congress, the purchasing power of the dollar was virtually unchanged. Since 1913, nevertheless, I show how the dollar of 2018 only buys 1/25th of what it used to buy in 1913.
My conclusion is that despite the fact that the U.S. Congress has given the Fed the mission of maintaining full employment and price stability the main purpose of the U.S. central bank is to extract wealth from the general public for the banking and political class.
