Good morning everyone!
I wanna share with you about my funny #marketfriday that I forget to post last night. I was too much busy yesterday and tired. When I lay down my back on my bed, I forgot everything and go to 6 hours of sleep without disturbance. Thank you, Lord, for I woke up this morning.
What I did for my Friday market?
Yesterday, my boss told me to buy meat again so I went to the butcher house but I want to have another story to tell for #marketfriday initiated by @dswigle.
So, I remember my childhood life when I saw ice cream but my parents didn't have to buy for me and my brother because the money they had was only for the basic needs every day. There was no extra money for ice cream. So sad but it is really my true experienced.
When I saw the ice cream yesterday, I remember all those memories. I bought one pint and I wanted to eat it all at once but I was wrong I wasn't able to finish it.
SAUDI ICE CREAM
I know this is not the best ice cream here but for me, it satisfies me. It's delicious and so affordable and I love mango flavor.
It reminded me of my siblings when we were craving ice cream. Now I could buy it but they are not around. I ate this yesterday missing my siblings. Homesickness visited me and weaken myself. I am the eldest among my siblings, they are all so dear to me.
How I wished that we ate it together. It was a very simple wish we had before but we didn't make it. So disgusting but it's really what poor people experienced.
If I could bring this one to my homeland! I know it will be melted and just a funny imagination for my siblings and for my grandchildren.
Oh! How I really miss my family. I will buy ice cream for them.
On the other hand, I bought lamb meat.
This is the walking distance place from the home of my boss.
The place is so neat and clean. And the vendor is a certain person from Yemen.
He is an 18 years old man, working for greener pasture. He told me that his parent needs money because in their place they have a civil war in their place. They came to Saudi by walking back door in the mountain. This man has a strong determination in life. How I wish he is my son. I have only one child and two granddaughters only.

I was not rich growing up and there were 9 brothers and sisters. So the money was always for the necessities in life and the funny thing is, I never knew we had no money. My parents never called us poor or we were never told we couldn't afford it.
My mother made our clothes growing up and we wore hand me downs... and yet. we felt rich inside. We ice skated, sledded, built bonfires and roasted hot dogs for lunch or dinner. We played baseball all together without neighbors.
I can understand being homesick and missing family. I live away from mine too. And someday, you will be able to share that ice cream. I hope that when you do, you will be all together and it will be fun.
I love lamb. I hope dinner was good!

We are currently in the middle of the winter in Hungary, so the last thing I want is an ice cream. But I am still glad that we had enough money for ice cream (and for everything else most of the time) in my childhood.
I am also glad that we do not have civil wars, nor any other kind of wars.
I feel sorry for you and for the vendor (and for his parents).
