Twist Covers - Innovative marketing

in marketing •  7 years ago

We always say that we 'live music' at Muziclub.

It means thinking, feeling, writing, playing, being around music all the time.

Everything we do has a musical touch to it.

So does our marketing messages.

How you ask?

Well, to explain that, we will have to make a really long post! So sit back and get ready for a ride 😎

It all started with Muziclub Co-Founder @hardikv (we call him the idea-man) came up with this innovative way to communicate about a holiday to the students.

The original song is Don't Let Me Down by The Beatles. The students had fun watching this and everyone loved the idea. It was a wonderful way to put forward a message which would be fun to watch and listen. Instead of sending messages of putting up a notice on the bulletin boards, we decided to send this video link to everyone.
And surprisingly it worked!

So we did another one of the song Closer by The Chainsmokers. We changed the lyrics to give the message of the launch of our new branch in the city.

We got a comment from The Chainsmokers official account on Instagram for this one! Check it out:

This was great motivation for everyone! And a lot of people turned up at the launch of the new branch after watching the video.
So clearly this was working!

So next we launched our Annual songwriting contest "MuziVerve" with the twist cover of Ed Sheern's I See Fire

And then this Holiday Announcement with the Twist Cover of the funny song "Why This Kolaveri Di"

Then Demonetisation hit India! The INR 500 and INR 1000 rupees notes were declared as invalid tender by the government and people were asked to deposit them with the banks asap.
While there was a huge debate going on as well as people struggling to find liquid cash for daily usage, we decided to add a little stress buster to the situation with the Twist Cover of the old Bollywood song Nahi Nahi Abhi Nahi.
The message that the Twist cover conveyed was that we won't be accepting the notes which are now declared as invalid tender.
It was a light hearted way to convey an important message of the government's step taken towards reducing the circulation of black money in the market.

When we launched online music lessons, we did the Twist Cover of Daft Punk's Get Lucky.

With this one, we also kicked out audio and video production up a notch.

Then it was the January of the new year, 2017. The month of making resolutions. And then breaking them, yet again!
So we did this Twist Cover reminding people that they probably need a better academy when it comes to their music learning goals. 😉
It was also the twist cover of Last Christmas by Wham!, our way of paying tribute to the legendary artist George Michael who had passed away just a few week ago.

Now since the Twist Covers were a thing at muziclub, the students wanted to get on bandwagon! So they did this on Valentines Day.
A Twist Cover of the song "Kaate Nahin Kat Te" from the Bollywood movie Mr. India.

This one was for Women's day. Honouring the Women staff and teachers at Muziclub with the twist cover of Womaniya from Gangs of Wasseypur.

Towards the end of Feb 2017, we decided to remind people that there is still time to keep your music learning resolutions! Do not let your dreams of becoming a rockstar just die out. Come to us for the right guidance.

And then this was the one when @hardikv decided to clone himself 5 times over to promote online classes with the Twist Cover of Shape Of You by Ed Sheeran! 😄

Time and again, Students have to be reminded that Practice makes perfect. They not only have to study in class but go home and practice whatever they've learnt. What better way to convey this message than a Twist Cover? 😄
The Bollywood movie Half-Girlfriend (based on the novel by Chetan Bhagat) was released in April and we decided to do a Twist Cover it's popular song "Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga".
We called this song Half-Student! 😂
One of our vocal students was featured in the video.

If you've gone through all of the Twist Cover above, you can definitely see that we are a fun loving music academy and we love our jobs! The learning environment is full of energy all the time.

Do you already feel like joining us? 😄
