Why Is Steem all ready functioning as a currency (I Am Amanda)

in marketing •  7 years ago  (edited)

The community is missing an opportunity to take our story and run with it

We have a real functioning economy, with real people who are using Steem to fuel there real lives.  That is a proof of concept that is extremely valuable.  If we use it.

Some are pissed the bloggers are "bleeding" the value out of Steem, but aren't they are showing a true and very real story about how Steem can work as a currency, they are creating volume, making steem move.  Nobody wants a stagnant currency that isn't being used.  They want a working picture of how to create an economy.  We have that!  We just haven't focused on it.

We have end-users who are earning steem and trading it and selling it.  That is REAL.  Most of the Crypto coins are only conceptual.

Be HAPPY we have a real life view of how Steem works as a currency.  For work, for pay and it is exchangeable.  That creates volume and a real life success story in a market that doesn't have a lot of real use situations.

Package that in a marketing message and we are AHEAD.

Spread the word!

That is a really good point. We need to focus on the positive, especially when talking to other people. Steemit has a lot going for it, which is why I'm here and a lot of other people are here.

Exactly, it is easy to get caught up in the day-to-day BS. (happens to me every day) When I think about leaving, I think.. Nobody else offers anything better. We can capitolize on that.

That is the truth. No one offers anything better in terms of rewards for blogging and commenting. Sure, there are some growing pains and we have to adapt to changes, and maybe some of those changes in hindsight weren't as brilliant ideas as they seemed in the concept stage. But at the end of the day, you can adapt and keep Steeming and earning some rewards... or you could go do it for free on Facebook. Even small rewards add up. Above comment is a case in point. On Facebook, my 2 cents gets me nothing. Here on Steemit, my 2 cents gets multiplied 10x and it's now my 21 cents. I'll take it :)

Yes, two thumbs up!

So many of the other Alt's only have "blockchains are genius" as 100% of their marketing offer. We have so much more...

We just need to educate everyone on how to talk about it.

I've spent Steem that I made here on various things and also donated some to others in need. It's not just for saving up and trading on the currency markets.

Agreed.

By Jove, you're right - too. Keep up the good fight!

I love the .. too. ;)

I had no interest in blogging or reading blogs, until I discovered Steemit. At first I wanted to make money. Then I realized I didn't care about that because there were actually good articles here. And comments that made sense. Something good is happening here...

Making money and using it, is not a bad goal. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. They just haven't woken up to the fact that IS a success story.

In the meantime, don't get stuck on the short-term rewards when the long-term rewards could change your life.
In fact it is a proof of concept idea the marketers are looking straight past.
