Went detecting in one of the local parks where I live. There are two baseball fields, two basketball courts and a small playground area. The baseball fields are quite busy in the summer with tee-ball and softball. Always a good place to go coin hunting either in the late fall or early spring before the season begins.
This hunt, honestly, was not a very productive, however, I did find a 1944 wheat penny in the play ground area. A wheat penny is alway a solid find. Typically these are just worth face value, but there is a bit more nostalgia compared to your typical Lincoln memorial penny.
Thanks for watching!
