'Deadpool 2' will be released very soon and one of its protagonists seems to have got into trouble with the law. TJ Miller appeared before a United States district judge today. After being arrested for allegedly making a false bomb threat while traveling by train last month (March 18, 2018).
According to the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, Miller has been accused of "intentionally transmitting to the police false information about an explosive device on a train traveling to Connecticut."
According to Variety: Miller allegedly called 911 in New Jersey and reported that he was on the 2256 Amtrak train that was traveling from Washington, DC, to Penn Station in New York City, and that a passenger has a bomb in her purse.
The Amtrak officers stopped the train, inspected the passengers. They also had bomb disposal squad. No evidence of any device or explosive material was found. According to the complaint, it was later discovered that Miller was on a completely different train, which was also inspected later. It was discovered that it did not contain any artifact or explosive material. "
Those responsible for the train told officers that he believed Miller was drugged while boarding the train. He also consumed several drinks while traveling. They had to move him to New York due to his intoxication. The assistant also stated that Miller had been involved in "hostile exchanges with a woman" sitting in a different row from him.
Authorities believe that Miller was "motivated by a resentment against the woman, called 911 to transmit false information about a suspicious bomb on the train. But it also continued to transmit false information to investigators while the public safety response was ongoing.
Miller appeared before United States District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer in New Haven. The actor has been released with a bail of $ 100,000. The charge carries a maximum term of imprisonment of five years.
TJ Miller was also charged with sexual harassment and assault on another occasion. Although he and his wife Kate Gorney have always denied it. This almost cost him to replace him in Deadpool 2. But in the end they kept him in the movie. Instead he was fired from 'Silicon Valley'.
Deadpool 2 will premiere on May 18, 2018.
