Week 9 of my Infinity War Preparation – 2018 MCU Re-Watch
Following the big Marvel Team-Up of The Avengers, we have seen how Tony Stark has been coping, and we've seen what Thor has been up to, so now it's time to see how Steve Rogers is getting on in modern times...
I have to say I'd forgotten how good this was. It's a great standalone Captain America film but it also carries on from The First Avenger and The Avengers really well. It's also a great Black Widow and/or S.H.I.E.L.D. film. Even knowing the twists doesn't ruin it. One of the best of the MCU so far!
To Infinity: There's almost nothing about the impending Infinity War here, apart from a little hint in the mid-credit scene...
Mid/Post-Credit Scene(s): The mid-credit scene shows us the whereabouts of Loki's Sceptre and introduces two big new characters who we'll meet the next time the Avengers assemble.
The post-credit scene is a pleasing stepping stone between this and Civil War.
Next Up: Guardians of the Galaxy
