(Careful! Minor spoilers for the season 5 finale of Agents of SHIELD below!)

A lot of big things happened this season on Marvel's premier TV show. But then again, big things happen every year on the show. This time, however, the face of the show might change completely... Because we have new top brass running the titular organisation, and a couple of the core agents we started the show with have left at last.
After Coulson decided to allow his body die naturally somewhere on a beach in Tahiti, he appointed a new director, Daisy, who in turn appointed a new director, Mack. This was quite unexpected, though in hindsight it does make sense. Mack has run the organisation as Acting Director in Coulson's absence once before and he did a marvelous job. Daisy still remains on the team though, along with robot-armed Yo-yo (expect a lot of upgrades on those arms next season!), Simmons to lead the science division (presumably with Fitz whenever they find him), Piper (whose presence since season 3 is finally being paid off), and Davis (the pilot, behind whom there's a small mystery waiting to be solved).

This will definitely make for quite a different team dynamic in season 6. Unfortunately, we won't get to enjoy that for a while. In order not to mess up the second part of Infinity War (and complicate their own plot unneccessarily), Agents of Shield won't be returning until after Avengers 4. That, plus the fact that for the first time since the show started, we ended a season without any form of cliffhanger puts us in a total dark on what season 6 could be about. The show runners did announce that they had enough ideas to run from now up till season 8, which only makes fans more curious, and though this season tied up some, there are still a lot of unresolved plot points.
Time/Space travel and cracking the Earth apart might be pretty hard to beat, though. Let's wait and see how they'll attempt to do it!
