A brief Infinity War and Agents of SHIELD spoiler review

I've been watching Agents of SHIELD since day one, and I've noticed that they always make refernece to certain Marvel movies that are showing around the time of an episode's broadcast. But the only reference they made to Infinity War in the latest Agents of SHIELD was "weird stuff" happening in New York City. Meanwhile, no characters in the latest Agents of SHIELD disintegrated into nonexistence like the characters in Infinity War did. Why is that? My guess is that Marvel Studios didn't want to spoil the movie. But in my view, that would not have spoiled the movie. Even before Infinity War as finished, there were already strong indications that Thonas was going to win.

But then again, there could be better explanation for why no one disintegrated into nonexistence in latest Agents of SHIELD. And that explanation is that Agents of SHIELD now takes place in a different universe. A universe where Thanos lost. How is this possible? Early in the current season of Agents of SHIELD, the main characters were sent to the future. Eventually, they found a way to return to their time of origin. Time travel to the past always leads to a parallel universe. (But unfortunately, most time travel stories ignore this more scientifically accurate view of time travel.) This was even hinted at in the latest episode whereby some of the characters discussed multiverse theory. If this is correct (and it probably is), then the absence of people disintegrating into nonexistence in latest Agents of SHIELD is not a continuity error.

It looks like the whole parallel universe thing might not be entirely accurate. The events of the previous episode of Agents of SHIELD took place before Infinity War. And if I remember correctly, Infinity War was released a week early. That's why last week's Agents of SHIELD didn't mention anything about Thanos and the war to fight him.
