Is there more odd numbered houses or even numbered houses ?

Let's suppose you have picked a house at random, then it more probable you are in a odd numbered house by a tiny fraction.

Why is that ?

If the houses of a street are properly numbered, suppose there is only one house, of course, in that street 100% of the houses are odd. If the street has two houses, there is 50/50. if there is three, there is 67/33 and so on. Like this:

1 - 100%

2 - 50%

3 - 67%

4 - 50%

5 - 60%

6 - 50%

7 - 57%

...

By this point, you have already got the point. Nonetheless, the following thinking may rise: not all the streets have this straight configuration. Yes, that is true, but there is streets with much more even numbered houses than odd numbered houses, and even with none odd numbered house and vice versa. That will compensate each other, and the difference that will stay is the difference caused by the fact of the number 1 is odd.

So, the reason why, you are more likely to live in a odd numbered house, is because of streets that have a even number of houses.

Check this video that explains this deeply and comes out with the 50.02% ratio between odd and even numbered houses.
