♃ OCCULTIST CORNER #1: Sacred geometry, the architecture of the universe

The sacred geometry in connection with our material world

The sacred geometry is directly connected with energy codes, which form specific structures in nature and generally in the reality that surrounds us. These structures or patterns have different dimensions. They may be flat, two-dimensional or even multi-dimensional - not so easily identifiable.

Purely Mathematical vs Spiritual Principles

Sacred geometry is based on principles of the construction shapes or structures. However, we should avoid putting the nature's architectonics in purely mathematical terms - which actually have even been proved by mathematical equations (as it happens with the Platonic principles, that even the Pythagoreans had use, trying to discover secrets patterns) - because this way we'll lose all contact with our spiritual truth that these cosmic structures actually represent.

Simply, take a good look around you and you’ll notice that the environment and especially our nature is made by secular, geometric, schematic codes that create what we simply call matter. One of these structures is that of human DNA itself and even musical formations.

You may not be able to perceive your own self as a shape, such as square, but it does not mean that you are not directly interwoven with it...

Sacred Shapes derived from nature's core

Some very basic examples of sacred geometry, which inspire the energetic balance and mental concentration or meditation are the following:

1. The Flower of Life contains the Fruit of Life and it is formed by 13 - perfectly based on mathematical laws -  spheres which actually represent the universe itself. On top of that it is a common symbol that can be found in the ancient Egyptian religion as well as many others.

2. The Nautilus symbol. Based on the sayings of the famous, ancient, Greek philosopher Plato: ''It is the key to the physics of the universe''. Nautilus also symbolises the beauty of nature.

3. The Metatron's Cube. The Metatron's Cube can actually be derived as a symbol by the Fruit of Life. The Cube is based on the drawings of the 5 Platonic Solids: the cube, the tetrahedron, the octahedron, the dodecahedron and the Icosahedrons.

4. The Tree of Life is the symbol of love and unity. It can be exactly derived as a symbol by the Flower of life and the by the Fruit of Life and it is directly connected with the teachings and theories of the Jewish Kabbala.

A simple and effective exercise to keep your thoughts in a row

This exercise will help you organise your thoughts: You can draw the Shape of Cosmos - meaning a simple cyclic repetition - it doesn't matter if you draw the circle to the left or right - which will help you reprogram your brain.

So if you are a designer, a musician, a writer or if you generally deal with creative professions and you feel that you’ve gotten stuck, put aside your tools and keep only one: your pencil or pen in order to start this simple meditation that will 'wake up' the dormant energy powers of your left hemisphere.

Love discussions on Sacred Geometry! There is a pattern and an order to the Universe which we can see. We call the Source behind this order by different names, but It is there regardless.

Yes it is there but people ignore the importance of these sacred patterns. The geometrical knowledge of the universe can help us centre ourselves through meditation. I try this practice of spiritual focus quite often and it really works.

Followed and upvoted. I have a book on amazon for sigil colouring magick, heres a sample.

Thank you for the follow and also for upvoting. I decided to equally reward you as I love forms of art like these. I believe that they are indeed valuable. Spirituality and balancing of the energies is something that many people need in modern society in order to achieve mindfulness. I have recently started to work on sacred geometry's symbols, implementing smaller symbols, inspired by tarot, astrology and alchemy. Unfortunately, I do not have a finished work to show here yet. Keep up the great work eight-rad.

Nice one, numerology also a key one. Look forward to seeing your new works.

Oops! I forgot to mention numerology. Thanks for reminding me! I also look forward to seeing your new creative works.
