It was launched around 2014 after a big, BIG pump by Max Keiser, only to be dumped and left for dead by the very same. It had some noobish developers that, by dumb luck, actually made a decent coin. There is a new developer taking over the project and he's already made some nice improvements.

    Hi .. its David here .. @getmaxcoin from twitter .. yes, there was a reboot, but I'm not associated with maxcoin.org.uk .. can you please update the article?

    Sorry .. that other site is asking for donations and selling Rpi for maxcoin development.

    Anyway, Maxcoin Project www.maxcoinproject.org does not ask for donations or sell anything, we just run a community cryptocurrency where everyone sponsors their time and resources.
