Today all major web browser companies sat down today to agree to move all documentation officially over to Mozilla. Google, Microsoft, Mozilla, Samsung, and W3C agreed to unify all documentation to one main area and keep it under the Mozilla MDN Portal.

Mozilla's MDN is now known as MDN Web Docs, This documentation are will hold all web standard related documentation. There will be a section to document cross browser usage as well.

This could be the beginning of a web standard "codex" that all developers can now go to instead of having to jump around looking for documentation between all browsers. This new standard will now contain all information regarding HTML, CSS, javaScript commands, and the latest API's approved by the W3C.

After the official meeting all IT companies have already started moving all documentation over to the MDN. The MDN is not new, it has been around for at least 10 years. The MDN portal has over 34,500 docs and over 20,500 contributors. MDN was founded in 2005. Representatives from all major IT companies make up this new organization. There are still other companies who prefer the old school way referencing the W3C to keep it simple.
