Why do you believe that one cannot create meaning for oneself, which in turn can create a sense of purpose for oneself?
I believe that it’s true that meaning is something that is found when one is at least open to the idea, so it’s definitely uncovered, but it also has to do which the choice and acceptance of which is being given to you to be discovered, which means that it also takes some action on ones part to create a meaning out of the thing(s) that is given to you to become a meaning for you. I believe that the acceptance of meaning is your own creation, just as the acceptance of your purpose is also your creation, because without your conscious act (of acceptance) there isn’t any meaning and there’ won’t be any purpose to be worked on/for.
