So today I couldn't help myself but I had to go to the Butcher and get myself a piece of them tri-tip. I came home I got myself a can of beer out and I got myself some rub. I unwrap that baby and I poured some of that rub on top of it with a little bit of spices let me tell you why that's a good-looking piece of meat. What I suggest is a lot of people just like to barbecue it but sometimes there's nothing wrong with putting it in the oven. So what I like to do is I like to rub it down both sides with the spices. Little pepper a little salt little Liquid Smoke and some A1 cracked peppercorn dry rub. Use about 2.5 teaspoons per pound and I had a 2 lb tri-tip and then you just paint the top of the tri-tip in the bottom without Liquid Smoke to give it that BBQ taste. Then you take your can of Bud Light or what other type of beer that you like me being on a diet I go for Bud Light and you pour it in the bottom. And then you let that baby marinate for a couple hours. Everybody likes to cook their meat differently but this too seems to be a pretty good recipe especially if you're making tri-tip sandwiches out of it. Just saute up some bell pepper and some onion. Then mix a little mayo and Tapatio together and put some pepper jack cheese on it
