The name 'Snopes' always conjures up for me an image of an oleaginous but ambitious Dickensian servant of the Uriah Heep variety - "Oh yes Mr 'Ancock sir, as Dr Whitty and Mr Ferguson says they is the most terrible liars and not to be trusted sir. Not gentlemen like your good selves sir' (tugs forlock and holds out hand).
The name 'Politifact' is straight out of Orwell - but probably with less honesty and ethics than MiniTrue.
USA Today are just vile bottom feeders and egregious liars of the worst kind. How about from today and for the rest of time they stay in what's left of the USA and check facts there?
