As a general rule, I don't tend to like remakes, even of media I like.

There's exceptions... Battlestar Galactica was better the second time around, Orgy's Blue Monday was better than New Order's, etc.

One of those exceptions is Scrooged, which will always be one of my favorite Christmas movies. God bless us, every one.

And as far as movies and books go, generally the books are better. But there's exceptions...

Silence of the lambs and fight club come to mind.

I swear, I must have seen Scrooged a hundred times.

Towards the end, when that little mute kid says his line, I still tear up.
