Livepeer is community where users stream and broadcast videos over the internet. Creating a live video decentralized structure, livepeer gives incentives to its users by contributing their computer's processing power and bandwidth in service of livepeer network.
Livepeer is creating a scalable Platform as a Service for developers who want to add live or on-demand video to their project. We aim to increase reliability of video workflows while reducing the costs to scale them. To achieve this we are building p2p infrastructure that interacts through a marketplace secured by the Ethereum blockchain. To fit the requirements of today's DApp developers we are building Livepeer with these core attributes in mind: https://livepeer.org/?utm_source=StateOfTheDApps

Livepeer is
- Highly scalable,
- Has a low cost of running; and is
- Decentralized.
The livepeer software is created basically for PC users but the documentation provided gives a rundown on all aspects from getting started as a content creators, to being a video miner and being a contributor.
For details on how a livepeer video ought to be broadcast,

Livepeer also provides an opportunity for developers who wish to work for them as either a Product manager or Protocol Engineer. So, if you know anyone got for the positions, feel free to check them out.
Their team is made up of highly trained software engineers and they also permit users to become active team members.
Livepeer is also on Github. The @Stateofthedaps can be rest assured that I did a proper research on this one.
Navigating Livepeer
When you first log into the website you have to read a lot of information and scroll to the bottom just to locate where you belong.
Getting started with livepeer first of all involves a proper understanding of the getting started documentation found here
https://livepeer.readthedocs.io/en/latest/getting_started.html
- Then, the app can be downloaded and you can proceed to create your first 5minutes video on the livepeer platform, after fully understanding the rules guiding the creation of video content.
Suggestions
The livepeer documentation has a lot of places written in what looks like codes, this disturts the understanding of normal non-tech people like myself.
The livepeer platform is also not for mobile users. Why chase us away though?
Getting started on the livepeer network ought to be a lot easier.
The livepeer platform although is basically created for video creation, gives more emphasis on their need for contributors and developers. That's both good and bad, depending on the perspective.
