An MRI procedure has some hidden risks; study, then decide for yourself, if it is worth the risk!

This is a story I have heard before! Chuck Norris has a Wife who was badly hurt by an MRI! I post this so people can be aware, that this procedure is not as safe as they claim. Just be smart about all procedures; and STUDY UP on any, until you are satisfied of the need to proceed! I have refused procedures myself, and have benefitted from that refusal. It is YOUR body, and YOU will have to live with the results!

It is always prudent to find out everything you can about procedures and test before they are done. Also, a good plan to get second and even third opinions before you subject yourself to anything a health professional may advise.

True, it is also important to carefully read the authorization for surgery. I found one that was totally wrong, and refused to sign it. They were mad at first; but when they realized they were wrong, I could do NO WRONG! It also meant someone else got their correct procedure too! :)

you mean they were trying to get you to sign for a surgery that was for someone else?

Exactly, and they were snotty, until they double checked! Both were back surgeries, but they would have cut in the wrong places!

It's only the spine; what could possibly go wrong?
>:(

lol! oh my gosh smithlabs!!
that is freaking scary!
okay, always verify and double and triple verify...wow.
was it your back that needed surgery?

Yes, car wreak cost me my baby Porsche 944, and a lumbar back fusion.

who's fault was that? that sounds painful.

I stopped for a wreck on the highway. The guy behind me decided to use my car to stop, to save brakes. He never touched his brakes. I went from zero to about 150 MPH in a fraction of a second. That 944, with one wheel locked, allowed me to control my spin, and steer off the road! NO OTHER car could have done that! I was forced into an overhead sign post, hard enough to sink a 14 inch diameter post, 18 inches deep into my passenger side. I bent the frame of the car (called a torque tube) 5 inches sideways, with my hip. That separated my back between L4 and L5. I hit the head rest hard enough, that I cracked my skull....

Yup, it hurt! :(

Wow! Thanks for this!

Glad you liked it!

Debbie tell me I am a terrible Patient, LOL! SO, I just decided never to be a patient again!
