This reminded me of the FGF23-klotho axis I spoke about before, which helps get precipitated calcium out of the blood, a driver of aging. Too much calcium or phosphate in the blood may increase the rate of aging. Here they argued that too low of a concentration in amyloid may be the cause, rather than the amyloid that has precipitated out of solution.
