Hello My Steemit Family!

This week we welcome back Animal Spirit with the Hawk. There is a very interesting energy that comes with creature, so if you are so inclined please join me in this week's blessing to everyone on Steemit and the journey we will take with the divinity messenger, the Hawk.

All of my readings are geared towards a healing; breaking through mental, spiritual, or emotional blocks that will assist us in overcoming every day obstacles.

If this is your first time swinging by, my Medicine Card Monday initiative is my positive intention to pull a card of healing or medicine for the community. This is different than tarot in that the cards I use are on the medicinal aspect of humanity other than the most common cards found in a tarot deck.

The decks I use are The Wild Unknown - Animal Spirit, Mystical Shaman Oracle, and the Chakra Wisdom Oracle. The cards will assist in helping those interested, find comfort in things going on in our community and the world we are now dealing with. Namely, issues around the world, astronomical, or overcoming health issues of all sorts, etc., maybe just something out of balance that we are feeling on any particular day that needs guidance.

By pulling a card for Steemit this will in turn assist with my Medicine training, give back to the community, and help those seeking answers. I will take some of the reading from guidebooks provided with the cards, but primarily give intuitive and medicinal words to help our community. We all have days when we need encouragement, inspiration, and comfort.

Starting in a sacred space with a clear mind and body I pulled the Hawk card for the Steemit community from The Wild Unknown - Animal Spirit deck by Kim Krans.

The Reading

Hawks are messengers. As a totem they help to open the higher chakras so that we may hear and see the visions and messages that Spirit and the Universe are always sending our way. There is never a moment when the Universe is not trying to get a message through to us. Hawk helps us to not only be aware that we are receiving a message but how to interpret them.

Many of the messages Hawk may bring are about freeing yourself of thoughts and beliefs that are limiting your ability to soar above your life and gain a greater perspective. If one remains earthbound, then the possibilities of life are limited. It's the ability to soar high above to catch a glimpse of the bigger picture that is one of the aspects of Hawk medicine that makes it so valuable. Hawk medicine encourages to keep going or if the path is not a good one it can alert us to a more favorable path.

Hawk medicine as a messenger gives us the information we need to make our material or mundane lives more prosperous and fulfilling. For those who have difficulty attracting financial security because of a false or negative block about money and success, Hawk can help us to understand the true spiritual intent and purpose behind money and guide us in establishing new beliefs that are more joyful and abundant.

Hawk can alert us to those times when we should not take action because we do not yet have all the information we need. Sometimes we get the feeling that something is "not quite right". This needs to be taken into consideration. The warning is usually a signal to tread lightly for good reason.

Hawk can also help balance those who are more attuned to the lunar sides of their nature and have trouble expressing the solar side in pursuit of their goals. It helps the person to activate the positive aspects of their sun sign and to balance it with the lunar needs.

In the Celt tradition Hawk empowers a person to seek out their ancestral roots and to examine which is positive so that it may be integrated into the person's life and that which is limiting so it can be released. Tradition is only worth honoring when it supports joy and fulfillment in one's life. In this tradition Hawk also supports the solar side as stated above, helping a person to move forward in life and to seek out great quests to embark upon.

In the Egyptian Tradition Hawk was associated with Magic and shapeshifting. Isis is said to have shape shifted into a Hawk to save Osiris. Horus also carried Hawk medicine which allowed him to see the "unseeable".

Among Native American traditions, Hawk served the role of Mercury, bringer of messages and portents of change. Hawk reminded the people they needed to be awaken and be aware.

One of the greatest gifts a Hawk medicine person can give the world is their visions of a better and brighter future. Visionaries are always ahead of their time and it's not easy seeing what others are not ready to see. Great Spirit can give you a special task to hold the energy of what could be, of potentials that are waiting to be envisioned and thus expressed through the mass consciousness. Seek out other Hawk people who can support you in your life and never allow others to cause you to lose sight of what is really important to you. Trust in the messages that Spirit entrusts to your special care and know that the expression of your visions will bring blessings not only to you, but also to all others.

How can we apply this to Steemit? The message is that the winds are shifting, and not to take this message lightly. The message can be small and insignificant but it will redirect our course. Let's all be in balance when the winds shift and see it clear intuition. There have been many changes lately, so let us be prepared and ensure that our finances are secure, as well as not be blindsided or taken aback by any "surprising" announcements that may take place.
