The Tournament - Episode One: King Edward II vs Ren Falkner.
In June of 1314, Edward II suffered his most surprising defeat at the hands of Robert the Bruce during the Battle of Bannockburn. Since his retreat, Edward's turmoil within England grew against the nobles and church and had chosen to host a tournament to raise morale and the economy of a country entering the age of The Great Famine. Though out of character for the King of The People, he marched on at the will of his constituents, only to be presented with a Scot that had been present at the very battle that caused this sour time in history for the King.
Ren Falkner, one solder in Robert's army of over 5,000 from Bannockburn, sought to bring honor and freedom back to England by following Edward to England. There he would squash the Irish opposed to Edward Bruce's march up north, and the King of England himself.
