Dear friends and followers,
yesterday I attended the first Steemit-Meetup in Aachen. The event was hosted (and perfectly organized) by @detlev, who also offered us his office.
I know @detlev from Steemfest², where he did a great talk about his #beersaturday challenge and even organized a beer ralley, that took us to some fine drinking-venues in Lisbon.
Besides @detlev and me (@shortcut), there were six more users at the meetup:
@arcange - a witness from Belgium, who also developed SteemSQL, SteemitBoard, Steem.NET and SteemToolbar
@asperger-kids - a digital nomad and writer, who also creates wonderful dolls and figures
@neuewegegehen - a new user, who wants to find and go new paths and share the process with her readers
@ooschmann - a workmate of @detlev, who is also into electrical engineering and informatics
@cryptonik - a web developer, who currently lives in New Zealand and is also into Philosophy, Guitar-playing and Free Speech
@jedigeiss - an IT manger and musician, who is the brain and marketer behind the first MMORP on the Steem blockchain called Steempunk.net
Here is @jedigeiss giving us a very interesting talk about Steempunk.net and the ideas behind it. We were also looking at some useful tools like Steemworld.org, Steemreports.com and SteemitBoard.
Then there were some special guests, that @asperger-kids brought to the meeting. Those are all hand-made models of a Steem-mascot called "Roby", she crafted after seeing one of my sketches.

To my greatest surprise and joy, @asperger-kids gave me the first two Roby figures as a gift. I felt so lucky and blessed. Thank you again! That really made my day :-)
It was way time to drink one of the fine Belgian beers, that @detlev has bought for all of us, payed with the rewards of the Meetup-announcement posts.
Later some of us went to a nice pub called "Hotel Europa"...
.. where we had some more chilling conversations...
... and even some more beer.
Thanks to everybody who made this Meetup a success and an inspiration with his/her presence.

Ich finde es auch total cool zu sehen, dass es auf den Treffen immer wieder neue Gesichter gibt. Und so ein lokales Treffen ist eine super Möglichkeit, sich besser kennenzulernen und zu vernetzen.

Haha, yes! Especially @detlev is very good in smiling :-) There are some fine Steemians in the Netherlands already. For example @roelandp is the guy, that organized the international Steemfests on such a perfect level, that I'm sure it would be easy to do a local meetup.

Those meeting always have such a positive energy and SteemSerbia should definitley organize a meetup in the near future. From my experience it's pretty easy, you just have to announce date and place in a post and everything else falls in place.

Great stuff @arcange and would love to meet up with other steemits one day, but cash keeps me in SEQ now, and probably will for awhile. Although I am hoping to travel to MN late in March, if my forex will allow.
I am still on an Android at present, so unable to copy/paste, therefore if you find time, please read my replies to @spititualmatters and @vaansteam and then get back to me and beyond the negatives we might see how this idea there, might be better presented to the community, for tweaking, and perhaps voting for implementation, if an IT tech can manage 😀 it.¿ Thank-you.
