Well,most capitalism is crony capitalism. It is a a function of following systems of thought in economy and politics,most notably neo-liberalism. Neo-liberalism is pretty much universal and global by now.
We see the resulst on the global scale with environmental destruction,enforced austerity,privatisation of water supplies,fracking,the military-industrial complex,etc.
I do agree that businesses can do good. But they are then following their own ethics,not the code of neo-liberalism,which is profit maximation above all else. And it has to stop,or else we are soon all dead. Green capitalist tech will be too little too late.
