Mercuryo consistently builds and ideates, iterating and improving on our products. We want these changes to be understood and celebrated internally and externally.
Here is what our team has worked on and shipped during the first half of 2022.
On- and off-ramp (OOR) Updates
No KYC: Our new No KYC flow, for purchases up to €900, allows Mercuryo partners to onboard users in minutes, giving them a competitive advantage.
It can be difficult for someone who isn’t crypto-native to know how to on-ramp their fiat into crypto, making them look for the easiest option.
Our silent login allows users to delay the KYC process, which can be daunting. The simpler it is to onboard users into , the faster mass adoption will occur.
Updated verification method: While users would receive their one-time pin (OTP) via text message, the primary process is now via email. Allowing sign-ins to our product to be more accessible.
Long cookies: User authorisation in OOR now lasts for 30 days. Cookies lasting longer improve users’ login experience by recognising and recalling details.
Previously, users would re-enter their username and password with every crypto purchase, wait for an OTP on their phone or email and then make their purchase.
With the long storage of cookies feature, users don’t have to enter their details every time and wait for the code. Now we know who’s who for much longer, allowing crypto purchases to be immediate — as we know how time is of the essence.
API Integration: We’ve introduced a new method of integrating our solution. As well as iFrame and redirect, businesses can now integrate directly with Mercuryo via the API. It’s a more convenient and native method to integrate products.
Off-chain transactions: Off-chain transactions refer to transactions occurring on a cryptocurrency network that move the value outside of the blockchain. This feature allows users to transfer cryptocurrency for free within Mercuryo.
Transaction Limits
Transaction limits have now been increased to $10,000 per transaction, and up to $60,000 per month.
New Cryptocurrencies
At the beginning of the quarter, Mercuryo added BNB, BUSD, 1INCH and TON.
More recently, we have integrated with Avalanche (AVAX), Polkadot (DOT), Kusama (KSM), Polygon (MATIC) and Solana (SOL) — adding five new tokens to our product offering. In the coming week NEAR, Cardano (ADA), and Stellar (XLM) will be available. These additions allow Mercuryo and our partners to offer more product options and chains.
Mercuryo will continuously add more tokens, stablecoins, Layer2 solutions and networks to give fast and low-cost transactions, with the integration of dozens more top 50 (by market cap) tokens expected in July and August 2022.
BCH is live for US users.
Updated Logomark
Developed by our in-house design team, our new logomark is as unique as Mercury’s orbit but can still adapt and spin on its axis when necessary. Perfect to represent our ambition to cryptopower the future.
We want our brand to reflect Mercuryo’s development over the past year. And with this growth comes change. Find the new logo assets here.
New Acquiring Partners
By adding new acquiring partners, we’ve increased conversion and success rates.
Integrating various local payment methods, such as Volt , and currencies is essential as it allows for better conversion rates as end-users have more choices. Our new acquiring partners provide more opportunities for our merchants to enter new markets and scale their business globally.
It’s always less expensive to transact in one’s currency — making a business more user-friendly.
Embeddable Wallet
We have launched Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), via an easily embeddable API. Mercuryo’s virtual IBANs enable frictionless cross-border payments on behalf of or in favour of your customers when processing fiat settlements or fiat-crypto operations. Get a unique IBAN with your name or company name as a sender/recipient.
Additionally, as a part of the BaaS solution, if your users don’t want to open an IBAN they still can make on-ramp purchases via bank transfers. If they’ve opened IBAN in Europe with any bank that works with SEPA, they can send a bank transfer from their IBAN and receive crypto in exchange.
With BaaS, embed into your existing customer journeys the possibility to open IBAN for your users and perform on- and off-ramp operations via card, bank transfers or IBAN accounts. Alternatively store, send and receive fiat money on the user’s IBAN account.
