The RFOX VALT metaverse continues its forward march in anticipation of the MVP launching in December 2021.
If you’ve seen gaming metaverses like The Sandbox, which looks just like Minecraft and Roblox, then you’re all too familiar with voxel art. It does serve a purpose by allowing easy collaboration, but those graphics look so Nintendo 64.
As they often do, RedFOX Labs is stepping up its offering by using an avatar-as-a-service provider. Rather than being stuck with boxy faces that look like they have 3 or 4 chins, ReadyPlayer.Me lets you build a cross-metaverse, graphically appealing avatar.
Take a look at the new VALT blog to see them for yourself. You must remember that these are still works in progress. That said, they already look far smoother than today’s voxel art creations.
Interacting with other VALT visitors is meant to be a modern, elegant solution that outshines the likes of Decentraland. Each metaverse serves its own purpose but I would argue that if you’re going to spend any amount of time in a virtual world, that world should be captivatingly beautiful.
Retro graphics have their charm but personally, they wear off quickly. But fancy graphics aren’t the only news in the RFOX ecosystem:

That quote refers to the new activities at RFOX Finance. We have three different ways to earn tokens via the new yield farm and two single-sided staking pools.
Want to add more RFOX or VFOX tokens to your stack? Here’s how:
- Combine equal parts RFOX/VFOX to create LP tokens, then stake those tokens in the yield farm to earn RFOX
- As the 15% distribution for the 25 Callinova SHOP auctions, we can now stake VFOX to earn RFOX
- Going the other way, we can stake RFOX to earn VFOX
The APR will vary as people enter and exit the pools and farm. But for now, all three options are producing healthy returns. Even if you didn’t hold VFOX tokens during last month’s Callinova auctions, it’s not too late to stake and earn.
Per the VALT roadmap, the team hit the mark of an RFOX rewards distribution in October. They may encounter unforeseen events responsible for delays, but RedFOX Labs is known for keeping its word.
