Keep the 1/1 NFT or burn it for a once-in-a-lifetime African adventure? That’s the question the winner of a Zimbabwe experience will have to ask themselves.
Funding is courtesy of Metaverse company RFOX after its gaming division selects a winner from a recent contest involving wildlife NFTs.
The KOGs NFT ecosystem conducted a Special Edition NFT sale on February 14, with proceeds going to the International Anti-Poaching Foundation.
You may be familiar with the IAPF but it’s an outstanding organization for a number of reasons:
- Peace over War: It didn’t take the founder, Damien Mander, long to realize that peaceful chats with the community were more effective than the strongarm approach
- Empowering Women: It’s hard to believe that in this day and age, women are still often considered the inferior gender as if there were such a concept. The IAPF knows better and helps women succeed in life
- 80% Success Rate: Imagine an MLB batter hitting the ball 8 out of every 10 trips to home plate. Through peaceful communication, the IAPF has an 80% success rate in the areas under its protection
RFOX used its extensive NFT knowledge to help the IAPF raise funds and continue its valiant efforts. RFOX Games has been creating NFT collections on the WAX blockchain since 2020.
Visit AtomicHub, the WAX network’s most-used marketplace and mint factory, and filter by KOGs schemas to see that there are now multiple standard and special editions.
Who better than RFOX Games to help the IAPF create a stunning collection? Donating in itself is great, and anyone is free to do so at any time, but the RFOX organization took the excitement up a few notches.
Every donation of $25 gave the donor entry into a fabulous raffle. The winner has two choices after receiving a highly coveted 1/1 NFT. Hang onto it for later sale on the open market, or burn it on the WAX blockchain.
Destroying the NFT removes its monetary value, but vastly enhances its experiential value. You see, the burn signifies your intention to visit Zimbabwe’s Akashinga Rangers in their IAPF camp.
Kudos to the RFOX organization for donating to such a worthy cause. Not only that, but 250,000 $RFOX tokens from its upcoming staking window are set aside for IAPF collection.
That’s another huge donation from RFOX exemplifying the Metaverse company’s habit of positive business practices.
