This shows consumer sentiment and favorability of news heard by type of information source.

Those who mentioned mainstream and business news had the highest consumer sentiment and favorability of the news heard. Personal experience and word of mouth were the lowest for both.

They also break it down by party affiliation. Democrats are much more likely to mention mainstream news.

Republicans that mention partisan news have sharply negative consumer sentiment compared to Republicans that don't mention partisan news. So some evidence of a "Fox News" effect on consumer sentiment.
