Microsoft bans crypto advertising, causing massive Bitcoin and altcoins sell-off!

in microsoft •  7 years ago

In January, Google announced their decision for banning any crypto-currency related ads which was followed by Twitter later in the year and now Microsoft has joined as well. They expressed the fact that they want to ensure a safe experience of their users and in general of digital advertising ecosystem therefore by doing this they will avoid high risks of fraud.

This has caused a sell-off of the largest cryptocurrency by marker cap, Bitcoin, which was down my approx. 7% of its value by the time news came out. It is worth to mention that BTC/USD is trading at around $8,234 and all altcoins experienced a drop as well. *
