Looking back at it, it seemed like it was just yesterday that Tifa, Barret and I teamed up to put an end to the "Midgar Zolom", as the locals in that area used to call it.
It sure seemed like a tall task at the time and I can tell ya right now that my heart was a-beatin'. I remember being more scared to lose one or both of either Barret or Tifa, but I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't scared for my own life as well.
As scary as it was - I ended up having to use three phoenix downs (2 on Tifa and 1 on Barret) and having one used on myself (by Tifa) - the enemy skill "Beta" that I received during that epic battle made it worth all the effort that went into it and the risk that was involved.
And, let's be clear, here. There WAS a lot at stake. Like, there was a real chance that "game over[ed]". While I was confident that we'd come out on top in the end, I knew we were in for a real test, and I couldn't have been happier with the result. We proved to ourselves that day that we were ready for the worst... well, so we thought at the time...
