The new Gem Midnight Mass series for slow burn lovers. Director Mike Flanagan has come up with an incredibly beautiful series that combines the themes of religion and cult with horror in an extraordinary way.
As well as excellent acting and storytelling this series has already made a name for itself in the world of horror. The story of the series is about a small community on an island.
Everyone here knows everyone and lives together like a family. One day, the sudden arrival of a young priest with a charismatic personality took place in the minds of everyone on the island,
and everyone was encouraged to go to the regular church. However, with his arrival, some miraculous and mysterious events began. But what is the cause of these events?
Is it really a miracle or something else? So you have to watch this great series to know. Honestly this series seemed very slow to me at first. Didn't remember much.
However, I did not stop watching because I saw the drag I have heard good reviews from many. It is important to note that the series is actually very interesting going forward.
At one point, I felt completely surrounded by the silent and slow mysteries of this series. I didn't want to get up until I saw the end of the story. Since the stories of cults are very fascinating to me,
the story of this series is great. Horror people will not think that the series will see a scattering of ghostly or supernatural subjects. The center of the story is mainly about religion and superstition.
So those who are very sensitive about these issues may not be able to take the story in a normal way. However, after watching this series, I kept thinking about how blind people can be because of religion,
that all the stems lose consciousness and do very questionable work. Although the pacing of the series is slow, I found the story to be quite engaging due to its good quality.
Moreover The screenplay of the series is very nicely arranged to maintain the suspense in the story. There are two jump scars in the series that have been used very well.
Each character has been given a good screentime so that the audience has a good connection with them. However, in many cases the series becomes very dialogue based which is why sometimes the story seems very wordy.
Moreover, many things in the Bible have been narrated repeatedly since the story is religious. For those who don't know much about these issues, those dialogues can be a bit boring.
Moreover, the visuals of the series are very good. Let's move on to the strongest part of the series. That is acting. The casting of each character in this series seemed absolutely excellent.
I especially like Hamish Linklater as Father Paul. So much for him in the role of this charismatic religious leader It seems very natural and believable that his words will become a whole community convincing.
One of his dialogues is very good, and his speeches, especially in the church, are very nice. Apart from him, the one whose performance is excellent is Samantha Sloyan as Beverly Keane.
He portrays a character who has a kind of hatred towards everyone and considers himself above all. He hates followers of other religions. He has acted so beautifully in such a character that my anger and hatred towards him was working.
Seeing him, your mind will want to kill you again and again because he has acted so realistically. Along with them, I like the performance of Rahul Kohli as Kate Siegal and Sheriff Hassan as Erin Greene.
Besides, everyone's acting in all the supporting roles, big and small, was elegant and appropriate. All in all, the Midnight Mass series is one of Netflix It seemed to me one of the best series.
Recommendations for everyone to watch the series. There are no adult scenes in the series but there are some scary scenes and there is blood violence.
Moreover, a mature point of view is necessary to understand the story and the message of the story. Those who like cult horror will not miss it in any way. You can easily get the series on any torrent site including Netflix. I hope you like it.
