HUMBLE TIPS AND WARNINGS OF A "NEWBIE" IN STEEMIT

Greetings, Dear Reader on Steemit.

First of all, it is my duty to clarify that I have made this publication knowing my limitations by "Ignorant and Rookie", as well as the many mistakes that I have made here and continue to commit. "Who is free of errors that throws the first appearance".

However, I do so with the good intention of generating advice and warnings to other "newbies", who like me, we are very wrong because we ignore most of the normative elements, referential, representative, idealistic, pragmatic, community, systematized and consequent, among other aspects; which should be known clearly to develop properly, with due patience, commitment, honesty, discipline and quality; to obtain the learning and the desired success in Steemit.

In this sense, I must indicate that this humble article is the product of a superficial analysis from my limited knowledge, tests and field results; as well as the readings and investigations that I have made in recent days; to try to know better the "complicated labyrinth" of the "Steemit Ecosystem".

Preliminary Advice and Warnings

One of the first recommendations I have to make is that we should try to avoid the fact of publishing too many times a day, especially when the articles are lacking in content or are of dubious depth or quality; because that denotes that we only publish for publishing, hoping to obtain immediate and easy votes and rewards, without contributing anything to the community.

In the same way, we should avoid doing too many "reesteem" (bring to the "wall" own the writing of another user); because our favorite section (feed) is filled with excess publications that make "disappear" the writings we really want to read.

I clarify, that I do not criticize the "reesteem", because I consider it a good tool of Steemit to be able to easily find the contents of quality, if that is the reason why we give "reesteem" to the article, but the goodness is lost when there is massive "reesteem" of many "post".

Similarly, it is not recommended to leave repetitive comments or cloned messages, copied and pasted, of "Follow me and I Follow You", "I gave you my Upvote, Give me Your Upvote", "I already upvoted for you, now you upvote for me" or with absurdities "Praises" (all are considered messages "SPAM" that I confess with shame: in my beginning I did something almost identical, which I could correct in time).

We must understand that in Steemit we all have a limited capacity of 10 upvotes to 100%, therefore we can not please everyone to give them our upvote; There is a free will to upvote for publications that we consider deserve, depending on its quality or empathy.

On the other hand, we must not "copy, paste and publish" contents of other authors, previously published on the Internet or in any other printed media; because a "Plagiarism" is committed (copyright is violated). In case of doing so, it is most likely that we are visited by @cheetah and/or by @steemcleaners, who have among their functions to penalize with banners, flags, negative upvotes and "blacklist" the contents plagiarized.

Therefore, a good general advice is to devote the time that is necessary to elaborate an excellent publication, sufficiently extensive, adequate, well elaborated and written, and of course original.

To end the preliminary advice and warnings, I inform to the "novice" friends that we should not upvote as much or as often, to avoid greatly reducing our "Steem Power" and "% Voting Power".

Then, it is recommended to make a maximum of 10 votes per day and if possible balanced throughout the day (as a datum I advise you to use the tool: https://steemd.com/@your-name, to review the movements and important details of our user account in Steemit).

Quality Is The Slogan

In general, in Steemit Quality is important, for which our publications must offer a truly great literary, artistic, educational or transcendent value to this beautiful community; that is, we must do everything possible to make the maximum effort and have as a fundamental orientation continuous improvement, both in content and appropriate language, as in writing and spelling.

In this context, it is imperative that our north be the creation of a sufficiently extensive content, the most novel, original and utilitarian possible, avoiding the odious "plagiarism" that as a terrifying worm lodges in our brain to induce us to the foolish ease of "copy and paste" everything we found on the Internet.

However, if it is necessary to "copy and paste" some type of content or images, it is essential to respect the author's rights and the sources of the content (textual quotation indicating the author and data of the work) or the image (source of the image).

Also, as a humble contribution I can offer to support our learning process, I refer to an "html" programming tool to format the text in a "justified" way, that is, well framed both on the right and on the left, the same en: < div class = "text-justify" > ALL THE JUSTIFIED TEXT WILL BE LOCATED BETWEEN THESE TWO INSTRUCTIONS REGARDLESS OF THE AMOUNT OF LINES IN THE PARAGRAPH < / div > (Note: no spaces should be left between the "<" and the "div" or the """ and the ">", I did it so that it is not recognized by Steemit as "instruction or command").

Another tool is to "center" text or image: < center > TEXT OR IMAGE THAT WILL BE CENTERED < /center > (Note: do not leave spaces between "<" or ">" and "center" or "<" and the "/", I did it so that it would not be recognized by Steemit as "instruction or command").

Ideal Tips For Success

. In the Idealist Ecosystem of Steemit, there is a group of "Basic Rules" of growth and success or meeting points, which recommend some "Experts" to be successful in Steemit, which I can summarize in the following items:

.- EXPERIENCE: Many claim that having "Patience" and "Constancy" to achieve at least six months of "Experience" and sustained growth in Steemit, has its good rewards for "default"; but, that must go hand in hand with the daily improvement, and good strategies for the consequent increase of the "Reputation" (looking for a level higher than 60) and if possible investing own dollars to "buy" Steem, make "Power Up" and achieve a high "Steem Power" (ideally starts to be "good" if it is greater than 1000 SP).

.- SOCIALIZATION: For being a "Social Network", it is important to locate, win and strengthen friendly and honest relations in Steemit with like-minded people that we like and with themes compatible with ourselves, that will allow us to develop "Friendly" growth networks and help.

.- READING: To learn properly and as a general culture, it is worthwhile to read 5 to 20 good quality publications every day, vote from 5 to 10 "post" of those that seem most interesting to you and leave comments of high quality, original, well written and in good format.

.- WRITING: To contribute our knowledge to this beautiful community, the ideal would be to write a maximum of 1 or 2 publications per day, or at least a couple of "post" weekly, good content, novel, original, impactful, well written , without spelling errors and, if possible, current, artistic, educational or transcendental innovators.

.- PUBLICITY or ETHICS?: At this point there is no consensus between the ideal and the pragmatic in Steemit; a group of "experts" criticize (they consider it "unethical") the use of "Whales" and the payment for their upvotes, as a tool to position our publications, in terms of giving "Advertising" and "Real" value to our "Posts", paying "Whales prepaid" by their upvotes, and with the intention of trying to locate our writings in "Tendency", which obviously will give more visibility and therefore as a psychological effect, more votes are obtained.

On the other hand, an immense group (whom I support and I am 100% in agreement with them) consider that the above is unfair and selfish, because if our publication is of excellent quality, but "nobody sees" it will only get 3 to 5 small upvotes, and without the proper support of the "Great Curators"; and consequently the publication will be "forgotten", full of dust and with a "value" of 0.01 or 0.02; I ask: Is that what they consider "ethical"?

Instead, I know that many other users present "garbage" in their "post", but being supported by large communities of "Healers", "Curators" and "Whales", automatically their publications get hundreds of votes and value greater than 100; new question: Is that also if it is considered "very ethical"?

So: Is it "ethical" to go around pleading for a "Clap UpVote" from the "Great Healers-Curators" or the "Whales", and to have the joy of consumptives when that eventually happens? Well, I do not think it's right, it's immoral and I think that makes a big difference: "Hypocrisy and Idealist Selfishness".

.- FOLLOWERS: Although in Steemit it does not matter much to be "Star" for having millions of "followers/fanatics", in the reality of community and social life, high numbers of followers, they are necessary because they cause good psychological impact on others, who for this reason see us as "writers or important bloggers in Steemit" (sorry, but that causes me a lot of acidic grace).

.- HONOR: Although many people will never understand it, I stress that both in Steemit and in life itself, it is very important to be honorable, sincere, consistent, intelligent, truthful, transparent, honest, responsible, committed, orderly, loyal, friendly, studious, researcher and respectful, among many other principles and high ethical and moral values ??that must be maintained.

BEWARE OF WHALES OR BOTS OF UPVOTE BET ("BIDS BOTS")

A short time ago appeared the website: https://www.steembottracker.com, which is an interactive page and apparently very valuable, developed by @yapabmatt (excellent developer of "bots" and applications of the Steemit platform); created to synthesize a lot of information about the "bots" and "whales" of "prepaid upvotes", of singular help to the community.

In this context of "steembottracker", inserts the "liveliness" that comes close to the "scam" of many "whales" and "bots", which vote every 2.4 hours, with the alleged "healthy" intention "to divide their voting power that they will grant according to their "Steem Power", among the amount of SBD that we send to them before starting their voting process (just when they reach their 100% of Voting Power).

For sure I am, that I have not managed to explain well the point of the "liveliness or scam" of some "prepaid whales and bots"; I will proceed to detail it in an exemplified way: to a "bot/prepaid whale" with a voting power of 4 to 100% in its "Voting Power", I sent it 1 SBD and if nobody else sends it, it will give me a upvote of 4, because it was its "obligatory" voting maximum that it had to give according to its amount of Steem Power that it has to give by upvote every 2.4 hours and I have been the only one who sent it 1 SBD; for which I have won a good upvote of 4 for my 1 SBD (at the time of "reward payment", I lose 25% for "curators" and the rest is divided by 2 to finally receive 1.5 SBD, which will mean a "profit" "of 0.5 SBD, plus a small amount of SP earned).

However, if someone else also sends it 1 SBD, the voting power of the "bot/prepaid whale" will be divided by 2 and for that reason it will give me a vote of 2, based on its maximum of constant voting (4) it must give according to the amount of "Steem Power" it have to give by vote every 2.4 hours, for which I will "earn" a bad upvote of 2 by my 1 SBD (at the time of "reward payment", I lose 25% for "curators" and the rest is divided by 2 to finally receive 0.75 SBD, which will mean a " loss" of 0.25 SBD for each SBD paid, plus the small amount of SP earned).

That's where my warning comes from for all of us, because usually or in some cases, the "owner" of the "whale or prepaid bot" by itself or through several "clowns" who have and do the "dirty work", use the tools "steembottracker" and "steemd" to "monitor" the amount of SBD sent to them and if at the last second (when the "Voting Power" is 99.9% and the bot is about to start voting) see little amount of SBD received, then they send it a certain amount of SBD to further divide the vote and make us lose by receiving a small upvote; similar to the previous example.

In conclusion, I do NOT recommend using the services of "whales and prepaid bots" with bet upvotes or "Bids Bots", because it is very unlikely that we get a good vote, and only lose many SBD, for which we will decapitalize and that will slow our sustained growth (I recommend the use of "whales or bots" that grant a vote superior to 2.7 for each SBD that is transferred to it, and the "ideal" is that it is above 3)

In the most "risky" case, each one of us in a particular way, we can study or analyze the behavior of said "prepaid whales and bots" with bet upvotes or "Bids Bots", assume potential losses and "bet" on those that consider the most "honest", to verify the veracity of my words; but, that will be your own personal criterion; For my part, I have already done enough tests and in almost all of them I lost foolishly.

In fact, in all that I have raised, analyze and make your own decision that you consider most convenient...
