Today is the anniversary of the approval of the M1 Carbine. The carbine was approved on October 22nd, 1941 and developed by a team from Winchester.
Fun Fact: Did you know that there is a movie about the development of the M1 Carbine starring the great American actor, James Stewart? The 1952 movie, Carbine Williams, tells the story of the life of David Marshall Williams.
